Paddy procurement through app from next season: Sadhan
BOGURA, Feb 9, 2020 (BSS) – Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said today the government will procure paddy from farmers through app in next Boro season to make the process more transparent.
The minister stated this while addressing a view-exchange meeting on ‘Amon paddy procurement from internal sources in 2018-2020’ at Bogura circuit house here.
Sadhan gave directives to the concerned officers for making a new list of the farmers and emphasized on creating awareness among them.
“Irregularities would not be tolerable on paddy procurement. We need to amend the existing list of farmers,” said the minister.
The minister said no allocation will be provided to the closed rice mills.
Chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Fayez Ahmed, the function was addressed, among others, by Habibur Rahman, MP, Regional Food Officer Raihanul Kabir, District Awami League General Secretary Ragebul Ahsan Ripu and Panel Chairman of Bogra Zilla Parishad Asadul Rahman Dulu.
