Govt cautions media about “misinformation” regarding movie on Bangabandhu
DHAKA, Feb 9, 2020 (BSS) – The government today cautoned manstream media
about “misinformation” regarding a proposed movie on Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, alleging a section of newspapers were
publishing unsubstantiated and misleading reports quoting unauthorized
sources.
“The government always supports media interests regarding the movie on
Bangabandhu but unfortunately unfounded information is being dissiminated
regarding the making of the film,” a government handout said.
It said the joint producers of the movie Bangladesh’s BFDC and India’s
NFDC would immediately make public the information about actors of the movie
and others concerned as soon as director of the film and noted filmmaker
Shyam Benegal would finalise their names.
The handout urged the media to contact BFDC’s acting managing director for
any querry.
