Meeting of law and order held in Khulna
KHULNA, Feb 09, 2020 (BSS) – A meeting on law and order in Khulna district
held here today (Sunday) agreed to take stringent measures for eliminating
terrorism, militancy and drug abuse from the society.
The decision to take tough steps was extended at the monthly law and order
situation meeting held at the conference room of the circuit house.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Md Iqbal Hossain presided over the meeting while
Additional Deputy Magistrate Md Yousuf Ali, Civil Surgeon Dr Sujat Ahmed,
Deputy Police Commissioner Ehsan Shah, Khulna Press Club President S M Nazrul
Islam, among others, addressed the meeting.
The meeting reviewed over all law and order situation and took decisions to
control illegal drugs in order to save our young generation from its abuse.
The meeting asked the law enforcers to take strong measures against the drug
peddlers in collaboration with the community leaders and public
representatives,
It also laid stress on raising massive awareness against drugs and urged the
law enforcers to carry out special campaign to combat drug abuse .
Upazila Parishad Chairmen , Upazila Nirbahi Officers, officials and
representatives of local government bodies also addressed it .
