RU-GERMAN-ENVOY (with picture)
German envoy visits RU
RAJSHAHI, Feb 9, 2020 (BSS)- German Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Fahrenholtz today
visited Rajshahi University (RU)campus.
During the visit, he made a courtesy call with RU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof
Abdus Sobhan and discussed various issues particularly higher education and
research.
Prof Sobhan discussed with the visiting envoy about the possibilities of the
students and teachers of RU to study in German University.
In response to the proposal, the Ambassador gave a patience hearing and
assured VC of looking into such issue in the field of higher education.
Pro-vice-chancellor Prof Chowdhury Jakaria, Director of the Institute of
English and other Languages Prof Shahidullah and Prof Raquib Ahmed of the
department of Geography and Environmental Sciences were present on the
occasion.
Later , the Ambassador visited RU Archives and the Institute of English and
other Languages and went round those different sections.
