Mutation of tenanted (projabili) property to bona fide claimants soon: Saifuzzaman
DHAKA, Feb 6, 2020 (BSS) – Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury said here today the tenanted (projabili) property will soon be handed over through mutation (official transfer of land) to the bona fide claimants.
The minister said this while addressing the ‘Progress review meeting of implementation of the ongoing land survey activities’ held in the conference room of the ministry of land at the secretariat here.
Saifuzzaman Chowdhury said lands which were surveyed during the CS survey period will be listed as khasland (state-own land), not under the “court of wards” or Bhawal estate or Nawab estate.
The land minister hoped that the Department of Land Record and Survey (DLRS) would finish all the survey works by Mujib Year (2020), getting inspiration from the theme “Mujib Year’s Priority, Accomplishing the Incomplete Survey”.
Delaying land survey, listing one party’s property with another name or deliberately producing faulty maps – these cannot persist infinite, he added.
We have to come up with a sustainable and permanent solution to the survey work, he said.
It is noted, in the ongoing survey, Digital Survey of 378 Mouzas and Manual survey of 9391 Mouzas are yet to be completed. All are expected to be completed by the year 2020.
Land Secretary Md Maksudur Rahman Patwary, DG of Department of Land Records and Survey Md. Taslimul Islam, Additional Secretary (Law) Md Masud Karim along with the zonal settlement officers and concerned officials of the ministry of land were, among others, present at the review meeting.
