15 examinees, 2 teachers expelled in Dinajpur Board

RANGPUR, Feb 06, 2020 (BSS) – Fifteen examinees and two teachers were expelled and 512 candidates were absent on the third day of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examinations-2020 today in Dinajpur Education Board.

“English (Compulsory) first paper examinations were held peacefully at all 271 examination centres,” Controller of Examinations of Dinajpur Education Board Professor Md. Tofazzur Rahman told BSS.

Two teachers Sahanara Pervin and Sohel Rana were expelled from Burail School and College examination centre in Fulchhari upazila of Gaibandha for assisting examinees in copying in the examinations.

“Besides, 15 examinees were expelled today from different examination centres for adopting unfair means,” Professor Rahman said.

One lakh 74 thousand 171 SSC candidates, out of total one lakh 74 thousand 683, appeared in English (Compulsory) first paper examinations today as 512 examinees remained absent.

The SSC candidates from 2,660 high schools of all eight districts in Rangpur division are taking part in the SSC Examinations-2020 under the board.

A total of one lakh 92 thousand and 527 students are participating in the SSC Examinations-2020, including 99 thousand and 155 are male and 93 thousand and 372 are female candidates.

“One lakh 64 thousand and 642 candidates are appearing in the examinations as regular candidates, 27 thousand and 327 as irregular candidates and 562 candidates for improving GPA statuses,” he added.

Earlier, 470 examinees were absent in Bangla (Compulsory) first paper examinations on February 3 and 497 remained absent in Bangla (Compulsory) second paper examinations on February 4 last in the board.
