DU VC urges students to respect parents
DHAKA, Feb 4, 2020 (BSS) – Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University (DU)
Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman stressed the need for strengthening family
ties.
“Students must have respect for their parents to become complete human
being,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at the orientation
programme of first year Honors students of different Departments under the
faculty of Social Sciences of DU at the TSC auditorium.
Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office (SCGO) of DU organised the
programme while Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr Sadeka Halim
addressed it as special guest with Director of SCGO Prof Dr Mahjabeen Haque
in the chair.
Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to prepare themselves with the
combination of merit, truthfulness, simplicity, patriotism and honesty.
Students have to attain analytical quality to choose the right things in
their life, the VC added.
Chairmen and Students Advisors of different departments were present on
the occasion.
