THAKURGAON, Feb 4, 2020 (BSS) – A total of eight houses of five families were gutted in a fire in Pirganj municipality area of the district this morning.
Fire service and locals said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at a house and soon engulfed to the adjacent houses at Hatathpara.
Currencies were also gutted in the fire side by side household goods.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rezaul Karim visited the spot.
The families claimed that damages were estimated at Taka 15 lakh.
