Khulna BSTI fines 17 establishments Tk 79,000 last month

KHULNA, Feb 04, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) fined 17 business establishments Taka 79,000 for selling adulterated food items, not using digital weighing machines and not maintaining hygiene standard here last month.

Different teams of BSTI conducted 6 special drives in 17 business
establishments, including three petrol pumps, one jewelry shop, three
stationary stores, four cement factories and six sweetmeat shops and fined the money after filling a total 20 cases in January last, said an official release issued today.

According to the release, the drives against scrupulous business persons
and establishments will continue in the days come.
