Arrest warrant issued for S.Africa’s Zuma, suspended until May
JOHANNESBURG, Feb 4, 2020 (BSS/AFP) – A South African court on Tuesday
issued an arrest warrant for former president Jacob Zuma after he failed to
appear for a pre-trial hearing over corruption charges he faces related to a
1990s arms deal.
But execution of the warrant will be suspended until May 6 when the case is
due to resume.
Zuma’s lawyers told the court he was ill and receiving treatment abroad.
