BD Embassy organises “Pitha Utsob o Kobita pather Asor” in Seoul
DHAKA, Feb 3, 2020 (BSS) – “Pitha o Kabita pather Asor” was held on Sunday
at Bangladesh Embassy premises in Seoul with great fervor and festivity.
The embassy organised the event where expatriate Bangladeshis as well as
Korean nationals including the family members of the embassy officials were
present, a press release said here today.
On the occasion, different publications on Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and on the Liberation War of Bangladesh
including novels of Bangla literature were exhibited.
Besides, the organisers arranged functions for recitation of poems,
rendering Bangla songs and displayed various kinds of pitha (rice cake).
Ambassador Abida Islam welcomed the invited guests and underlined that the
event is designed to present the Bengali literature and culture to the Korean
people which will be instrumental in increasing people to people contact as
well as strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations.
