Annual sports competition of ‘Anondoshala’ school held at JU
SAVAR, Feb 03, 2020 (BSS) – An annual sports competition of ‘Special Needs
Education Centre’ (Anondoshala), a school for autistic children at
Jahangirnagar University (JU), was held today on the campus.
JU Pro-VC (Administration) Prof. Amir Hussain inaugurated the competition
as the chief guest around 10:30 am.
Addressing the function, he said, “Children with special needs should be
brought to the mainstream of society through humanitarian services. In this
regard, ‘Anandoshala’ school is playing an important role. It is our
responsibility to bring them to the mainstream of society.”
Presided over by the director (Honorary) of Special Needs Education
Centre, Prof. Md. Hanif Ali, Pro-VC (Education) Prof. Md. Nurul Alam, deans,
provosts and chairmen of different faculties, halls and departments of the
university were present at the competition, among others.
After the competition Pro-VC (Administration) Prof. Md. Amir Hussain and
Pro-VC (Education) Prof. Dr. Nurul Alam distributed prizes among the winners.
