Fire guts 285 shanties in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Feb 3, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 285 shanties were gutted in a
fire that broke out at SR colony in West Madarbari area under Sadarghat
police station this morning.
Azizul Islam, assistant director of Fire Services and Civil Defence, told
BSS that a total of 15 units from city’s Agrabad, Nandankanan, Chandanpura
and Bandar fire stations rushed to the spot as the fire broke out in the area
around 5:15 am and brought the fire under control after two hours.
However, the loss of the fire is yet to be ascertained, he said.
