Workshop on religious tolerance begins in Netrakona

NETRAKONA Feb 3, 2020 (BSS) – A four-day training workshop on “Religious tolerance” for journalists began today in the conference room of Sabalambi Unnayan Samity in Malni area of the district.

News Network in cooperation with high commission of Canada, Bangladesh organized the workshop aiming at improving professional ability of journalists to report on religious issue upholding human rights, the organizers said.

Deputy Commissioner Netrakona Main-UL-Islam formally inaugurated the workshop at a function.

The speakers said media could play an important role in educating the
people about religious tolerance issue for building a peaceful society.

A total of 25 local journalists from different national dailies, news
agencies and electronic media are participating in the workshop.
