Gazette of DSCC, DNCC polls to be published this week
DHAKA, Feb 2, 2020 (BSS) – The gazette for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls will be published this week, said returning officer of DNCC election Md. Abul Kasem.
“We will send election results to the Election Commission soon for publication of the gazette this week,” he said.
Awami League-backed candidates Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapas was elected unofficially mayor of DSCC and Atiqul Islam was declared unofficially mayor of DNCC in the elections held on Saturday last.
In addition, the results of the winning councilors in south city’s 54 general wards and 18 reserved wards and north city’s 75 general wards and 25 reserved wards were announced.
