DHAKA, Jan 30, 2020 (BSS) – The work on publishing a special souvenir marking Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary celebration is progressing fast.
The information was revealed today at a meeting on publication of the souvenir at the International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) in the city, said a press release.
Chairman of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee Professor Rafiqul Islam presided over the meeting while Chief Coordinator of the committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury moderated it.
Rafiqul Islam informed that Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given her consent to edit the souvenir.
Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury said they have requested renowned authors to send articles on the work and life of Bangabandhu and many articles have already come in their hands.
The participants of the meeting expressed the hope that the souvenir will be published within a few months.
Former Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Professor Anisuzzaman and Professor Shamsuzzaman were present at the meeting, among others.
