Honest generation key to build corruption free country

RANGPUR, Jan 29, 2020 (BSS) – Anti-corruption campaigners at a function
today stressed on establishing ‘Satota Stores’ (integrity stores) in all
educational institutions to produce honest generations for building a
corruption-free society .

They viewed this at a function organised by Rangpur District Combined
Office of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) with the assistance of the
district administration at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner in
Nilphamari district town.

Rangpur District Combined Office of ACC distributed TK five-lakh among 25
secondary level educational institutions with Taka 20,000 each for setting up
‘Satota’ stores in the institutions.

Deputy Commissioner of Nilphamari Md. Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury distributed
the grants among heads of 25 educational institutions of all six upazilas in
Nilphamari district as the chief guest.

Presided over by Deputy Director of Rangpur District Combined Office of
ACC Sheikh Mesbah Uddin, Nilphamari District Council Chairman Joynal Abedin
and Deputy Director (Local Government) for Nilphamari Abdul Motaleb Sarker
addressed the event as special guests.

Nilphamari District Education Officer Md. Shafikul Islam, District
Corruption Prevention Committee President Principal Abul Kalam Md. Faruk and
its General Secretary Professor Alhaj Md. Mossarraf Hossain also addressed.

The speakers said the young students have started reaping benefits from
‘Satota’ stores already established in their educational institutions aiming
at helping them to become honest generations.

Mossarraf Hossain said, “Educational institutions will establish ‘Satota’
stores with the grants to enable students practicing honesty by collecting
educational inputs and other goods by paying the price spontaneously without
shopkeepers.”

Abdul Motaleb Sarker said, “Corruption is still remaining as a major
barrier to the path of progress and ‘Satota’ stores will help students to
promote their moral integrity and honesty to bring a change in the social
mindset.”

The chief guest said ‘Satota’ stores being established in educational
institutions across the country would help to bring up young students as
honest generations for building a corruption-free developed country.
