Australia bat against Middlesex in England series warm-up

LONDON, June 9, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Australia captain Tim Paine won the toss
and elected to bat against Middlesex in a one-day match at Lord’s on
Saturday.

The Australians made two changes from the side that beat Sussex by 57 runs
in their tour-opener at Hove on Thursday.

Shaun Marsh came in for Marcus Stoinis, who scored a century against
Sussex, with Billy Stanlake replacing fellow paceman Andrew Tye.

Middlesex’s side contained an Australia international batsman in Hilton
Cartwright, with the hosts’ side also featuring England fast bowler Steven
Finn and former New Zealand international James Franklin.

This was world champions Australia’s last fixture before they begin a
five-match one-day international series against 2019 World Cup hosts England,
the top-ranked side in ODI cricket, at The Oval on Wednesday.

England face Scotland in a lone one-day international in Edinburgh on
Sunday.
