2 killed, 25 injured in Ctg road accident
CHATTOGRAM, January 28, 2020 (BSS) – At least two persons were killed and
25 others injured in a road accident in Pahartali area under Raozan upazila
of the district this morning.
The deceased were identified as Jahanara Begum, 55, wife of Abdul Malek,
hailed from Shilok village under Rangunai upazila and bus helper Imam
Hossain.
Locals said a Chandragona-bound passenger bus plunged into a roadside
ditch after blasting its tire that left two killed and 25 others injured in
Badupara area of Pahartali village under Raozan upazila of the district.
Most of the injured passengers, including Assistant Professor of CUET
Mohammad Abdur Razzak and Lecturer of Petroleum and Mining Engineering
Department Nadia Mahzabin were rescued from the spot and instantly sent to
Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
The rest injured persons were undergoing treatment at Raozan health complex
but their condition is out of danger.
