Two killed in Gopalganj road accident
GOPALGANJ, Jan 28, 2020 (BSS) – Two people were killed and another was
injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Khulan Highway in Bedgram area under
Sadar upazila of the district this afternoon.
The deceased were identified as motorcycle rider Rajib Sheikh, 23, resident
of Vennabari village in the upazila and pedestrian Zinnat Mollah, 65, hailed
from the Bedgram area.
Local people said the accident occurred when a motorcycle hit a pedestrian
in the area around 5:30 pm as its rider lost control over the wheels, leaving
Rajib Sheikh and Zinnat Mollah critically injured.
The wounded were taken to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital where the duty doctors
declared them dead.
