DHAKA, Jan 28, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) will
remain close on January 31 and February 1 for the upcoming Dhaka north and
south city corporations’ elections.
Election Commission (EC) has issued directives and sent a letter to the
commerce secretary to keep the DITF close on January 31 and February 1.
According to the letter, EC earlier took the decision to keep the DITF
close to hold the city polls slated for February 1 in a peaceful and festive
manner.
On January 16, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) also sent a letter to
the Returning Officer of DNCC to keep the fair close for two days.
