8 held in Rajshahi for railway ticket black marketing
RAJSHAHI, June 9, 2018 (BSS) – A mobile court here today held eight people,
including two women, for their alleged involvement in black marketing of
advance ticket at Rajshahi Railway Station.
Acting a tip-off, Executive Magistrate of Bangladesh Railway Anisur
Rahman conducted a drive at Rajshahi Railway Station and detained them.
However, the identity of the detainees could not be known immediately.
Anisur said decision relating to the detainees will be taken later.
Golam Mostofa, Superintendent of the station, said necessary measures
were taken to resist black marketing of advance railway tickets.
He said law enforcing agencies are working to ease the passengers’
sufferings and necessary steps have been taken to prevent any problem
relating to ticket selling.
The West Zone of Bangladesh Railway will operate Rajshahi-Dhaka Eid
special train with the main thrust of reducing sufferings of the passengers
during the Eid-ul-Fitr.
