Mutation for industries, foreign investors in 7-day

DHAKA, Jan 27, 2020 (BSS) – Land mutation between important industries,
limited companies, export-oriented industries and companies in Dhaka,
Chattogram, Narayanganj and Gazipur districts to be done within seven working
days.

Land Ministry issued a circular in this regard today. The present
government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is
relentlessly working to increase trade, commerce, industrialization and
foreign investment, the circular mentioned.

Bangladesh is yet to reach the desired level, though it has advanced some
notches in the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ index of the World Bank.

Bangladesh have to move up substantial notches in the ‘Ease of Doing
Business’ index to increase local and foreign investment for rapid economic
development.

For this reason, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury has taken various
initiatives to expedite the land mutation process between important
industries, limited companies, export-oriented industries and companies.

The concerned Additional Deputy Commissioner (revenue) will closely monitor
the service delivery, being the focal point in this regard.

Besides, the ADC (revenue) will submit reports to the Ministry of Land,
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Chief Coordinator for
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) regarding the matter every month.

Earlier on December 30, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury had announced
to issue a circular to encourage domestic and foreign investors while
delivering a speech in an event.
