DHAKA, Jan 26, 2020 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today scrapped a plea seeking
bail by contractor Golam Kibria Shamim alias GK Shamim in a case filed for
amassing illegal wealth.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Qayes passed the order after
holding hearing on the plea.
Meanwhile, the court set March 3 for submitting probe report in the case
as investigation officer failed to submit the report today.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on October 21, 2019, filed the case
against GK Shamim and his mother Ayesha Akter for amassing illegal wealth of
Taka 297.08 crore.
