Govt to establish fire station in each district : Kamal
SANGSAD BHABAN, Jan 26, 2020 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said the
government is implementing three development projects aiming to establish a fire station in each
district across the country.
“As per the announcement of the Prime Minister, the government is implementing three
development projects for setting up fire station in each district across the country,” he said replying to
a star marked question made by treasury bench lawmaker AKM Rahmatullah during the question
answer session at the Jatiya Sangsad here.
The present government has taken various initiatives in order to make more skilled, developed and
most modern Fire Service and Civil Defense Department, said the minister, adding that the
government has already procured modern vehicle pump and necessary equipments at a cost of Taka
223.38 crore under Modernization of Fire Service and Civil Defence project and distributed in different
fire stations.
Now a total of 414 fire service stations are in operation throughout the country.
