PM stresses socio-economic uplift of grassroots people for overall dev
DHAKA, Jan 26, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said today the overall development of a country was not possible without socio-economic uplift of the grassroots people as she opened a number of development projects including two water treatment plants, two bridges and several train services.
“It will not be possible to ensure overall development of a country by only making capital-centric development. No country can be developed without socio-economic advancement of the grassroots people. It is indeed the reality,” she said at a ceremony to inaugurate the uplift schemes through video conference from her Ganabhaban residence here.
The premier said the development projects were opened as part of her government’s initiatives for ensuring socio-economic progress of the grassroots people for overall development of the country.
