Dry weather likely

DHAKA, Jan 24, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today
predicted that weather would remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over
the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.

Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Mymensingh
divisions and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Kishoregonj, Srimangal,
Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Jashore and Kushtia, and it may continue, said a
Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during
midnight to morning.

Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain
nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 30 degree Celsius in
Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar, while today’s minimum temperature was 6.8 degree
Celsius in Rajarhat of Kurigram district.

The sun sets at 5:39 pm today and rises at 6:42 am tomorrow in the
capital.
