3,000 slum children get school bags in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Jan 23, 2020 (BSS) – Some 3,000 registered school going children of different slums in seven wards of Rangpur City Corporation (RpCC) got school bags at a function held in the city today.

The World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) under its Rangpur Area Programme distributed 3,000 school bags among the unprivileged children of poor families living in different slums in seven wards of the city.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan distributed the school bags in the function held at Rangpur City Corporation High School ground as the chief guest.

Presided over by Rangpur Area Programme Cluster Manager of WVB Stephan Haldar Ruven, District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer ATM Akhteruzzaman, Headmistress of the school Khorsheda Begum, City Councilor Hasna Banu and Programme Officer of WVB Rani Rita Costa attended the function.
