KHULNA, Jan 23, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League backed pro-liberation teachers’ panel swept Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Teachers Association annual election held yesterday.
The annual election -2020 of KUET Teachers Association was held from 8am to 12.30pm at the conference room of the KUET administrative building, said a KUET press release today.
Professor of Electrical & Communication Engineering (ECE) Faculty Dr. Pallav
Kumar Chowdhury has been elected president while Assistant Professor of
Mechanical Engineering Department Dr. Md. Abdul Hasib has been elected
General Secretary.
Chairman of the Election Commission Professor Mohiuddin Ahmed, Dean of
Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) announced the result
last evening.
A total of 257 teachers out of 271 cast their votes in the election in
which pro liberation forces bagged 12 out of 13 posts .
The elected office bearers are vice-president- Professor Dr. Md. Helal-
Al-Nahian, Assistant Secretary- Prof Protik Chandra Biswas, Sports Secretary-
Professor H M Abdul Fattah, Treasurer – Professor Khondkar Md. Mohiuddin
Ikram, Cultural Secretary -Professor Shaoni Priom Shikder and Publication and
Social welfare Secretary- Saumitra Kumar Sarkar.
The five executive members are Professor Dr. Md. Elias Uddin, Professor
Dr. B M Iqramul Hoque, , Professor Dr. Kazi ABM Mohiuddin and Abu-Hena-
Mostafa and Professor Dr. Sahidul Islam.
