Gaibandha DC for ensuring quality and standard education

GAIBANDHA, Jan 23, 2020 (BSS) – Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Gaibandha
Abdul Matin urged the teachers for ensuring quality and standard education to
the students to make them worthy citizens of the country to face the
challenges of the 21st century.

He said this while addressing a freshers’ reception ceremony for the
newly admitted trainees of Primary Teachers Training Institute (PTI), held at
its campus on Wednesday afternoon as the chief guest.

PTI superintendent Mst. Samsia Akter presided over the function while
superintendent of police (SP) Muhammad Towhidul Islam, civil surgeon (CS) Dr.
ABM Abu Hanif and district primary education officer Hossain Ali also spoke
at the ceremony as special guests.

Terming the teaching profession as great one DC Abdul Matin urged the
trainees of the institute to complete their course on Diploma in Primary
Education (DPEd) successfully and then apply the acquired knowledge to the
students properly to build an enlightened nation.

SP Muhammad Towhidul Islam called upon the trainees to be serious and
active more to turn their schools into knowledge acquiring centers of the
society so that the students might make good results in all exams including
primary education completion one.

CS ABM Abu Hanif urged the trainees to conduct co-curricular activities
for the students of all the academic institutions all the year round to make
the students physically and mentally fit and help build healthy nation as
well.

Over 300 trainees of two shifts are taking part in the DPEd course for
one year and a half, said Samiul Hasan Setu, instructor of PTI.
