RAJSHAHI, Jan 22, 2020 (BSS)- Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation here today said the role and responsibility of college teachers is very important for making their students skilled and competent human resources through ensuring standard teaching.
“Teachers should be responsive towards devising ways and means on how to build their students capable of facing the present challenging job-markets both home and abroad,” he said while addressing the triennial conference of district and city units of Bangladesh College Teachers Association (RCTA) at Rajshahi Medical College auditorium as chief guest.
Mayor Liton said the teachers can play the most vital role in improving
quality of education through disseminating time-befitting knowledge among the
students with utmost sincerity, professionalism and commitments.
He said teachers and others concerned should take responsibility of ensuing
quality education and similarly, the students must be enriched with moral and
ethical values institutionally.
Chaired by RCTA leader Prof Shafiqur Rahman, the meeting was addressed, among
others, by RCTA President Prof Asadul Haque and its General Secretary Prof
Foyez Ahmed and local unit leader Raj Kumar Sarker.
