Speaker condoles death of Ismat Ara Sadique
DHAKA, Jan 21, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin
Chaudhury today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Awami League
(AL) lawmaker and former state minister for Public Administration Ministry
Ismat Ara Sadique.
In a condolence message, the Speaker said the country lost a prominent
political figure with her death.
“The nation will remember her eventful life with due respect forever,” she
added.
She also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed
profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Mozammel Haque, Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury Liton, Deputy Speaker M
Fazle Rabbi Mia, Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi, State
Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder and State Minister for Shipping
Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, expressed deep shock at the death of Ismat Ara
Sadique.
They also conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members and
prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Ismat Ara, AL MP from Jessore-6 constituency, breathed her last this
morning while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
