Kamal, Mannan condole Ismat Ara Sadique’s death
DHAKA, Jan 21, 2020 (BSS) – Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal and
Planning Minister MA Mannan today expressed deep shock at the death of Awami
League (AL) lawmaker from Jashore-6 constituency and former state minister
for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique.
Sadique passed away at a city hospital this morning at the age of 78.
In separate messages of condolence, both the Finance Minister and the
Planning Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed
their deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Sadique breathed her last at around 11 am while undergoing treatment at
a hospital in the capital.
Ismat Ara left behind a son, a daughter and a host of relatives, friends
and well wishers to mourn her death.
Her husband ASHK Sadek was a Bangladesh Awami League politician, a
member of parliament, and former Minister of Education.
Ismat Ara joined AL in 1992.
She was made the State Minister for Public Administration in 2014.
