Construction work of model mosque begins in Gobindaganj
GAIBANDHA, Jan 21, 2020 (BSS) – Construction work of Gobindaganj upazila
model mosque under the project of 560 Model Mosque Building has begun at the
upazila town here on Monday amid much enthusiasm to all.
Public Works Department (PWD) would implement the construction work of the
mosque at a cost of Taka 13 crore while government of Bangladesh would
provide the fund, a PWD official said.
An inaugural function was also held in the afternoon with UNO Ramkrishna
Barman in the chair while upazila project implementation officer Jahurul
Islam was the moderator.
Local lawmaker Engineer Monwar Hossain Chowdhury formally inaugurated the
construction work of the mosque as chief guest and upazila chairman Abdul
Latif Prodhan was present as special guest.
Enginer Monwar Hossain, MP said the present government led by Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly since 2009 for overall
development of the country to build a happy and enriched nation.
The government will build a total of 560 model mosques in each district
and upazila of the country
Talking to the BSS executive engineer of PWD Morshed Kamal said the work
would be completed by June, 2021 it is expected.
