National Women’s Handball final tomorrow
DHAKA, Jan 20, 2020 (BSS)-Bangladesh Ansar will take on Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) in the final of Bangabandhu 30th National Women’s Handball Championship scheduled to be held tomorrow at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium here.
The match kicks off at 3 pm following the place-deciding match between Jamalpur District Sports Association (DSA) and Naogaon DSA at 12.30 pm.
On way to the final today, Bangladesh Ansar beat Naogaon DSA by 39-17 goals after leading the first half by 18-11 goals in the first semifinal while BJMC defeated Jamalpur DSA by 38-14 goals after leading the first half by 16-8 goals in the second semis.
Asaduzzaman Noor MP is expected to distribute the prizes as the chief guest after the final match while EXIM Bank Limited managing director Dr Haider Ali Mia will present as the special guest.
Bangladesh Handball Federation President Nurul Fazal Bulbul preside over the closing ceremony.
A total of fourteen district and services teams are taking part in the meet, organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation.
The participating teams are Bangladesh Ansar, Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation, Bangladesh Police, Panchagarh, Naogaon, Dhaka Faridpur, Gopalganj, Narail, Dinajpur, Madaripur, Rangamati and Bandarban District Sports Association.
