Madaripur female MP’s mother passes way
DHAKA, June 8, 2018 (BSS) – Rabeya Begum, mother of Roksana Yasmin Chhuti,
lawmaker in a reserved seat for women in Madaripur, died of old-age
complications at the NAM Flat of the parliament member here last night. She
was 82.
Rabeya Begum, wife of late Abdul Mannan Mia (Tunu), former general
secretary of the then Madaripur sub-division Awami League, left behind her
three sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her
death.
Her first namaz-e-janaza was held at Eidgah Maidan in Madaripur town after
Zohr prayers today.
A large number of people including Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan and
local leaders of Awami League attended the janaza.
Rabeya Begum was laid to eternal rest at her family graveyard at Khoajpur
village in Madaripur Sadar upazila after her second janaza after Asr prayers.
