Speaker mourns death of AL MP Abdul Mannan
DHAKA, Jan 18, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin
Chaudhury today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Awami League
leader and parliament member Abdul Mannan.
In a condolence message, the speaker recalled with profound respect his
outstanding contributions to the country’s politics.
She also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed
sympathy to the bereaved family members, said a press release issued here.
“The country lost a prominent political figure at his death. The nation
will forever remember his relentless efforts to implement the ideals of the
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman”, she added.
In separate condolence messages, Deputy Speaker M Fazle Rabbi Miah and
Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury Liton expressed shock at the death of
Mannan.
They also conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members and
prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Abdul Mannan, who was elected the MP from Bogura-1 constituency, died at a
hospital in Dhaka this morning after suffering from a cardiac arrest.
