GAIBANDHA, Jan 18, 2020 (BSS) – Senior leaders of Gaibandha district unit
Awami League (AL) distributed 4,000 pieces of blankets among the cold-
stricken people of seven upazilas of the district in last few days till
Friday.
The blankets, allocated by Prime Minister and AL President Sheikh Hasina
and AL central committee, were disbursed to the cold-hit distressed people
including char ones of the district properly.
Accompanied by district and upazila level Awami League leaders, general
secretary of district unit AL Abu Bakar Siddique distributed the blankets and
supervised its distribution activities going to the far flung areas of the
district.
Abu Bakar Siddique distributed a huge number of blankets to the cold
victims at the district AL office of the town here on Friday afternoon.
Office secretary Saiful Alam Saka, deputy office secretary Masud Rana,
organising secretary Tanzimul Islam Jamil and other leaders of the party were
present on the occasion.
