Dipu for not paying heed to rumors on question paper leakage

DHAKA, Jan 16, 2020 (BSS) – Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today urged guardians not to pay any heed to rumors about question paper leakage of this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations scheduled to be held from February 1.

She came up with the call while addressing a press conference held at the ministry of education on question paper leakage of SSC.

The minister informed that as many as 20, 47,779 examinees will take part in the SSC and equivalent examinations this year. Of the total, 10, 24,363 are male and 10, 23,416 female students.

For smooth holding of the month-long SSC examinations, she said, the education ministry has already given directions to close all coaching centres across the country.

Dipu said “The government will take pragmatic decisions regarding coaching centres of the educational institutions of the country next year.”

She said policies regarding coaching centres of the year 2012 will be updated and the laws on the education system in the country will also be amended.

The concerned authorities have to become strict against coaching-business which is being run in unethical manner, she said.

Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, Sectary of the Ministry of Education and other concerned senior officials were present, among others, on the occasion.
