RpMP-EXCELLENCE-AWARD (with picture)
7 RpMP personnel awarded for professional excellence
RANGPUR, Jan 15, 2020 (BSS) – Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) today
awarded its seven personnel in recognition to their professional excellence
in discharging duties in December last year.
RpMP Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Alim Mahmud distributed the awards in
different categories at the monthly crime assessment meeting for December-
2019 held at his conference room in the city.
He distributed the crests among four police personnel for their laudable
performances in tackling crimes and maintaining law and order.
Additional Commissioner of RpMP Mohammad Abu Sufian, its Deputy Police
Commissioner (Headquarters and Admin) Md. Mohidul Islam, Deputy Police
Commissioner (Crimes) Kazi Muttaki Ibne Minan, Additional Deputy Police
Commissioner (City Special Branch) Shamima Pervin, Additional Deputy Police
Commissioner (Crime) Md. Shahidullah Kowsar and senior officials of RpMP were
present at the award giving ceremony.
The four awardees police personnel are: Sub-Inspector (SI) Jyotish Chandra
Roy and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ashik Iqbal of Haragachh Thana,
Sergeant Ruhul Amin (Traffic North) and ASI Shahidul Haque of Kotwali Thana
of RpMP.
Besides, Inspector (Investigation) Razifuzzaman Basunia and SI Ezar Ali of
Kotwali Thana and Inspector (Investigation) Motaleb Hossain of Haragachh
Thana of RpMP were given special awards for carrying out successful
investigation into important cases.
The RpMP Commissioner also thanked SI Mamunur Rashid of Tazhat Thana for
winning the PPM (service) medal and Additional Deputy Police Commissioner
(City Special Branch) Shamima Pervin, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner
(Headquarters) Abdullah Faruk, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime)
Shahidullah Kowsar and SI Al-Amin of Mahiganj Thana of RpMP for winning
‘IGP’s Exemplary Good Service Badge’ in the Police Week- 2020 held at
Rajarbagh Police Lines in the capital .
