KHULNA, Jan 15, 2020 (BSS) – A three-day Physiochemical Society of Europe – Natural Products Scientists (PSE-NPS) – 2020 summit will begin at Journalist Liakat Ali Auditorium of Khulna University (KU) tomorrow.
The Physiochemical Society of Europe (PSE) will organize the summit in
association with the Pharmacy Discipline of Khulna University.
PSE-NPS 2020 Summit is being held with joint financial assistance of The
International Society for Ethno pharmacology (ISE) and Society for Ethno
pharmacology India (SFE India).
The summit will focus on “Natural products for healthy living” to explore the
prospects and challenges associated with research in natural products and
dietary nutrition for the well-being of the society and the nation.
Organizers said NPS members comprising prominent scientists, noted
educationists, researchers, academics, nutritionists, doctors, entrepreneurs
and traditional health practitioners from abroad will attend the summit.
The Inaugural session will be presided over by the Chief Patron of the
conference and Vice Chancellor of KU Prof Mohammad Fayek Uzzaman while
President of PSE-NPS 2020 summit and Head of the Pharmacy Discipline of KU
Prof Ashish Kumar Das will deliver address of welcome .
Mayor of Khulna City Corporation Talukder Abdul Khaleque is expected to
attend the summit as chief guest while Director General of Directorate of the
Drug Administration Major General Mahbubur Rahman, Prof of the Life Science
School of KU Raihan Ali, Treasurer of KU Prof Sadhan Ranjan Ghosh, Prof Satya
Sarker, President of the Physiochemical Society of Europe and Director of
School of Pharmacy and Bimolecular Sciences, Liverpool John Moores
University, UK will also attend as special guests .
