HABIGANJ, Jan 15, 2020 (BSS) – Habiganj Zila Truck-Tank-Lorry workers union General Secretary Shajahan Mia, 55, was killed in a road accident in Kalimnagar area of Shaistaganj upazila of the district on Tuesday evening.
Police said the accident took place on the Habiganj-Shayestaganj highway
while a speeding truck hit his motorbike from opposite direction, leaving him
critically injured.
The locals rushed him to Habiganj Lab Aid Hospital, but the on duty
doctor referred him to Pongu Hospital in Dhaka for better treatment, said
Masuk Ali, officer-in-Charge of Habiganj Police Station.
Shahjahan died at around 1am on his way to Dhaka, added the official.
