Deal for smart pre-payment metering project tomorrow
DHAKA, Jan 14, 2020 (BSS) – Northern Electricity Supply Company (NESCO) Limited will sign an agreement with JVC of Shenzhen Star Instrument Co. Ltd and Oculin Tech BD. Ltd for smart pre-payment metering project at 12 noon tomorrow at Mukti Hall, Bidyut Bhaban here.
“With a view to reducing system loss, pilferage and bill arrears, the government has undertaken the initiative to bring consumers under smart pre-payment metering system,” State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid, MP, told BSS here today.
He said, “We will bring all consumers across the country under smart pre-payment metering system in phases.”
The deal will be signed by NESCO, Shenzhen Star Instrument Co. Ltd and Oculin Tech BD officials on behalf of their respective sides, which will facilitate the JVC companies for implementing the project for pre-payment meter.
Prime Minister’s Energy Advisor Dr Towfiq-E-Elahi Chowdhury, Bir Bikram, will witness the contract signing ceremony as the chief guest, while State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid, MP, will present as the special guest.
