KHULNA, Jan 13, 2020 (BSS)-The three-day long 49th Regional School, Madrasa and Vocational Education Winter Games and Sports Competitions-2020 ended here at Khulna Zila School ground on Sunday.
Khulna Regional School, Madrasa and Vocational Education Sports Association with assistance of the National School and Madrasa Sports Association and Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education organised the games and sports competition.
Mayor of Khulna City Corporation Talukder Abdul Khaleque attended the closing ceremony of the sports competition and distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
Chairman of Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid attended the events as special guest while Regional Deputy Director of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Niva Rani Pathok was in the chair.
The chief guest said “sports and education is very essential for the students. Students should be encouraged in the sports. He also said that the girls are participating in different events of the sports now a days. They are doing very well.
District education officers, social representatives, local leaders, parents, students and among others were present on the occasion.
