CUMILLA, Jan 11, 2020 (BSS) – Advocate Ahmed Ali, a close associate of
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former member of the
Provincial Assembly and the ex-general secretary of greater Cumilla district
died of cancer on Friday.
He breathed his last at about 1:47pm at the age of 97, while undergoing
treatment at a hospital in the city, family sources said.
He left behind five daughters, four sons and a host of relatives and
well-wishers to mourn his death.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held at his village home at Kajalia in
Brahmanbaria today morning.
The second namaz-janaza of the language veteran will be held at Cumilla
Town Hall field after Asr prayer today.
According to family sources he will be buried at Badshah Miah Bazar
Graveyard.
