Impart moral education to young generation: speakers

RAJSHAHI, Jan 10, 2020 (BSS) – Professionals and academics at a meeting today unequivocally called for imparting moral education for developing a sense of moral values of young generation.

They mentioned that many youths become derailed from true path due to lack
of moral values and education. So, emphasis should be given on enriching the
youth forces with moral and ethical values institutionally.

They came up with the observation while addressing the opening ceremony of
the ninth batch of MBBS in Barind Medical College (BMC) in Rajshahi city.

General Secretary of the Workers Party of Bangladesh Fazley Hossain
Badsha, MP, addressed the meeting as chief guest with BMC Principal Prof BK
Dam in the chair.

Indian Assistant High Commissioner Sanjeeb Kumar Bhatty, Managing Director
of Barind Medical College and Hospital Muhammad Shamsuddin and BMC teachers
Prof Golam Rabbani, Prof Aktery Afroz, Prof AB Siddiqui and Prof Rukhsana
Khatun also spoke.

Badsha said quality education is very important for creating skilled human
resources. Similarly, the students must be protected from moral degradation.
He added that the teachers and others concerned should take the
responsibility of quality assurance in education on priority basis.

Time-fitting measures should be taken to ensure quality of education for
achieving the sustainable development goals through taking the nation
forward, he added.
