Banned polybag factory unearthed in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Jan 9, 2020 (BSS)- Directorate of Environment (DoE) Chattogram
in a drive today unearthed a banned polythene-manufacturing factory at city’s
Osmania goli in Chaktai area.
The DoE team led by its Executive Magistrate Shahrin Ferdousi, seized two
tonnes of banned polythene shopping bags after conducting the drive, said
Songjukta Das Gupta, assistant director of the DoE.
However, none of the owner or employees were present during the drive, she
said, adding “Legal action will be taken against the owner of the factory.”
