Stand beside cold-hit people: BCL leaders

RANGPUR, Jan 9, 2020 (BSS) – The district unit leaders of Bangladesh
Chhatra League (BCL) at a blanket distribution function today called upon affluent citizens to stand beside the cold-stricken people of Rangpur region to mitigate their sufferings.

The district unit of BCL organised the function for distributing 500
blankets among cold-stricken poor, distressed and disabled people on its
office premises at Batar Goli area in the city.

With President of district BCL Mehedee Hasan Rony in the chair, its
General Secretary Rakibul Hassan Kanon moderated the function.

Central executive committee Member of Awami League (AL) and former lawmaker Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia, President of district AL Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and its General Secretary Advocate Rezaul Karim attended as invited guests.

Later, BCL leaders along with the invited guests and other leaders
distributed blankets among 500 cold-stricken people of all ages, including
women and children.

“BCL will continue distribution of warm clothes,” said Mehedee Hasan Rony,
and called upon affluent people, socio-cultural and charitable organizations,
NGOs and trade bodies to stand beside the cold-affected people.
