Pran Dairy honors best 15 farmers
DHAKA, Jan 8, 2020 (BSS) – Pran Dairy honored its best 15 farmers to
encourage them to produce safe milk through proper firm management.
The 15 farmers were selected based on five criteria, including proper
management of firm, long term supply of milk to Pran dairy and turning a
small firm into a big one, said a press release today.
State minister for fisheries and livestock Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru handed
over the prizes to the farmers at a ceremony at PRAN Dairy Complex at
Shahzadpur in Sirajganj.
Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Additional Deputy
Commissioner of Sirajganj Tofazzel Hossain, Additional Superintendent of
Police Fahmida Haq, Chairman of Shahjadpur Upazila Professor Azad Rahman,
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shah Md. Shamsuzzoha and Mayor of Shahjadpur
Pourasava Abdur Razzak, among others, were also present.
PRAN has five hubs located at Chatmohar of Pabna, Gurudaspur of Natore,
Shahjadpur and Baghabari of Sirajganj and Rangpur where 101 collection and
chilling centers are situated.
Over 12,000 farmers supply milk directly to the collection and chilling
centers through rearing 50,000 cows.
