DHAKA, Jan 8, 20120 (BSS)- Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master 14th National Wushu championship kicks-off on Wednesday at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, MP formally inaugurated the four-day meet as the chief guest.
Bangladesh Wushu Federation (BWF)-president Dr Sobhan Golap presided over the opening ceremony.
BWF general secretary Dulal Hossain and China Bangla Ceramic managing director Sirajul Islam Mollah were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
A total of four hundred athletes from twenty nine men’s and women’s teams including Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan, Bangladesh Postal Divisaion, divisions and districts across the country are taking part in the sixteen and fourteen men’s and women’s weight categories, organized by BWF.
